About the Storyteller
Gabrielle Brady (Australia, 1984) finished her masters in film studies in 2013 from the Escuela Internacional de Cine Y Television in Cuba. Gabrielle has directed and filmed several short documentary films in Mongolia, Cuba, Indonesia, Australia and Kenya. Her first documentary Los Pantaones Rotos (Broken Pants) was filmed in the remote Sierra Maestra jungle in Cuba and has been shown in international festivals. Gabrielle has produced and directed films for the United Nations, Amnesty International, Rebel Films and the Central Australian indigenous organisation PAW media. Gabrielle was Associate Producer for the award-winning Australian documentary Coniston – about Australia’s last massacre of aboriginal people. Her latest short documentary from Cuba ‘Milagro’ is currently in distribution for festival release. Gabrielle is in development stages on her first feature film on Christmas Island.
